Cement Heart by Beth Ehemann

Release Date: 03.14.2015

Synopsis:

Lawrence Finkle, known simply to his die-hard Minnesota Wild fans as Viper, isn’t used to hearing the word "no." He lives his whole life just a little on the reckless side. After all, life is just one big game, right?

Wrong.

When what was supposed to be an innocent bet goes horribly wrong, he’s left to deal with the aftermath—and the guilt. In an effort to make things right the best way he can, he ends up falling for the one person on the planet he never should have.

The old saying goes that two wrongs don’t make a right . . . or do they?

Review:

This is not the story I expected, not even one bit, but I've loved it nonetheless.

Viper was painted,in the previous books,as a hardened playboy who didn't believe in love and commitment but in this one he changes his mind little by little thanks to a beautiful woman and an "external" help.

Even if this is a stand alone I invite you to read the other books in the Cranberry Inn series because they are beautiful.

"We grow up,become adults, and get married. From the moment the ring is on our finger,we have these grand ideas in our heads of how our life is supposed to go forever-how things should end up-but it's not really up to us,is it?I don't know who it's up to,but we just have to go with it.We have to keep riding the waves of life, trying not to get sucked too far out and get lost at sea,ya know?"
