The Rivalry by Nikki Sloane

Release Date: 11.21.2017

Synopsis:

This tight end is at the top of his game.

He’s good with his hands, even better with his sexy mouth, and the best at making me forget my own name. His—ahem—stats are perfect.

But I can’t fall for him.

He might be everything I want, all rolled into a glorious package of gridiron god, but there’s one teeny-tiny problem. The vile, loathsome team I’ve spent my entire life hating—my beloved school’s arch-rival?

This guy is their star player.

Review:

WOW!!! I was completely engrossed in this book I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.
It was so good I really hope to see it on TV sooner or later.

I can easily relate to our heroine's doubts about starting a relationship with the "enemy" but I can also understand that a person who wasn't born and raised into a rivalry couldn't realize the extent of it.
I loved the chemistry that Kayla and Jay have from their first encounter and how their relationship is hot, funny and also easy when they don't talk about football.

This was my first Nikki Sloane's book but her writing is so good I can't wait to get to read her other works.

Unconventional and hell-bent on getting her man, the little witch soon weaves her magic and captures his heart. He’s more than willing to give it to her, but when faced with his painful and turbulent past, neither are sure they’ll get their happily ever after.

Review:

This book was magic.
It was a nice, entertaining read that put a smile on my face and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I appreciated how Marcy embraces completely her weirdiness and how she is always confident of her magic and I couldn't not love a ginger head.
Life wasn't easy for our Hero,Oliver, but I liked how he didn't become bitter and how he took a chance to love again when the right person, almost magically, crossed his path.

This was the first time I've read a Natalina Reis story and it won't be the last because I fell in love with her writing, the pace of her story and the characters that already showed in one of her other books.

Review:

Angels' Kisses is the second book in the Connor's series,it follows Garratt and Jemma thorugh their second chance at love and even if it could be read as a standalone I suggest you to also read book one because it's really good.

Garratt and Jemma's journey is very heartbreaking, heartwarming, funny and hot.

#1 Player by T. Gephart

Release Date: 10.26.2017

Synopsis:

Lila Callan had an unconventional upbringing—unavoidable when your mother owns a brothel. But while she’d inherited some of her parents’ ‘wacky and offbeat’, she was also strong, independent and incredibly intelligent. The fact she was tall, beautiful and blond was a bonus she never really cared to exploit. She wasn’t uptight; it’s just that long term was more her thing, with zero interest in one-night stands.

Until she met Ryan York and then she isn’t so sure.

Blindingly good looking.
Insane body.
Infectious sense of humor.
And charm for days.
Ryan York was movie star material.
Except that he wasn’t.

He’d turned his back on the idea of hitting the big time, more content with being Eric Larsson’s—his best friend who was a movie star—right-hand man. Despite his laid-back persona, he was a guy who could get stuff done. And women lined up to be done by Ryan. He did not have a problem with that. Not. At. All.

Except his magical panty dropping powers didn’t seem to extend to the lovely Lila. And she wasn’t sure if she was going to teach the #1 player a new game, or find one herself.

One way or another, they were both getting naked.

Review:

#1 Player is a quick read because T. Gephart writing is effortless and amusing.even if it is the second book in the series I've read it as a standalone and I liked it so much that now I'm so curious to also know how Tia and Eric's relationship started.

Lila and Ryan journey is funny, flirtatious and hot.I was so entertained in reading it that I didn't realized the end was fast approaching until I sadly turned the last page.

I'm so glad I still have a lot of this author works to read and enjoy.

Thigh Highs by Katia Rose

Release Date: 10.26.2017

Synopsis:

Modelling lingerie for her annoyingly attractive arch-nemesis was not on Christina’s to-do list.

Then again, neither was he.

Aaron Penn might be the talk of the advertising school they both attend, but to Christina he’s just an egomaniac with a cocky smirk to match. Fast forward to the end of term, when a class project gone wrong has her stripping down to a negligee and letting Aaron photograph her to advertise a line of women’s underwear.

She expects suggestive comments and smarmy-eyed stares, but when Aaron gets behind the camera he treats her body like a work of art. Even though all she’s got on is a scrap of satin, the room suddenly feels way too hot.

As the tension between them builds to expensive-panty-melting-levels, Christina finds herself caught between falling for the complicated artist who knows just what poses to put her in, and wondering why he acts like such an irritating hotshot around everyone else.

Review:

This was really nice, alluring and easy to read.

Christina and Aaron are not friends. Our heroine hates his guts but when they are forced to get together for a class project they start to know each other better and see more than they usually show to the world.

Thigh Highs was my first read by Katia Rose, the story piqued my interest since the beginning and I'd like to read more of this author works.

Stone Sober by Gwyn McNamee

Release Date: 10.26.2017

Synopsis:

Stone Hawke is precisely the kind of man women are warned about—handsome, intelligent, arrogant, and intricately entangled with some dangerous people. I should stay away, but he manages to strip my soul bare with just a look and dominates my thoughts. Bad decisions are in my past. My life is (mostly) on track, even if it is no longer the one to medical school. I can’t allow myself to cave to the fierce pull and ardent attraction I feel toward the youngest Hawke.

Nora Eriksson is off-limits, and not just because she’s my brother’s employee and sister-in-law. Despite the fact she’s stripping at The Hawkeye Club, she has an innocent and pure heart. Normally, the only thing that appeals to me about innocence is the opportunity to taint it. But not when it comes to Nora. I can’t expose her to the filth permeating my life. There are too many things I can’t control, things completely out of my hands. She doesn’t deserve any of it, but the power she holds over me is stronger than any addiction.

The hardest battles we fight are often with ourselves, but only through defeating our own demons can we find true peace.

Review:

Stone Sober was a good, interesting and seriously hot read.

We have met the main characters in the previous books but only now we will get to know their secrets and their unique personal taste.
I liked Nora and Stone relationship,I've struggled along with them when they had to refrain themselves to act on their physical attraction but mostly I got the hots during their sexual encounters.

After few chapters I realized that with Stone Hawke I was out of my comfort zone but I knew that Gwyn McNamee couldn't do wrong and I kept reading and I fell in love with this couple.

I suggest you to start this series from book number one and let you surrender yourself with the beauty of this author's words.

Inked Hearts by Lindsay Detwiler

Release Date: 10.21.2017

Synopsis:

“Six years, a complex about my freckles, a love for pastrami, and a fear of failure.
That’s what he gave me before slaughtering my heart and my faith in men.”

Suffering from the sting of betrayal, twenty-eight-year-old Avery Johannas quits her job and moves hundreds of miles away to Ocean City, the beach town of her dreams. With the help of her zany roommate, Jodie, Avery finds a new career, home, and freedom. Throughout her self-exploration, she makes only one rule: She won’t give her heart to a man again. She’s living for herself this time.

But then she meets Jesse.

A tattoo shop owner, the green-eyed Jesse Pearce is wild with a touch of mystery. As Jesse and Avery explore Ocean City and their friendship, they’ll have a hard time drawing a line in the sand between their hearts.

When summer nights get a little more heated than either expected, they’ll have to ask themselves: Can they let go of their notions of love, or will their hearts be permanently inked by past pain?

Review:

Inked Hearts was a pleasant and warm read.

I liked Avery, our heroine, she is a scorned woman who decided to leave her past behind and to move to a little beach city. Her thoughts and emotions are clearly portrayed I felt like I was next to her during her journey to a brand-new life.

The supporting characters perfectly complement the story,I can't wait to read more about them in the next book.

Excerpt:

There’s some soft rock music playing when I open the door to Jesse’s apartment. The distinct smell of teriyaki sauce permeates the room, dancing in my nose as soon as I walk through the door.

“Hey. That looks amazing on you,” he says. He’s wearing black jeans and a button-up shirt. He’s gelled his hair, and hints of his cologne permeate the room.

“Thanks. I love this. You didn’t have to do it.”

“I like to treat my artists well.”

“So you do this for all of them?” I ask, setting down my bag on the counter.

“Only the good ones.”

He leans in to kiss me, and I realize how natural this has become. It hasn’t taken long for us to settle into couple status. In retrospect, it seems now like it was always coming. It seems unnatural for us not to be like this—comfortable, kissing, and together.

I’m so glad that for once in my life, I broke my own rules.

Jesse leads me to his kitchen table, which is adorned with a dozen pink roses. I smile, gently touching the petals of one.

“This is beautiful. Thank you.”

“Have a seat. Dinner is ready.” Jesse brings out a few casserole dishes with rice, teriyaki chicken and vegetables, and even some egg rolls.

“Did you make all this?” I ask coyly, pretending to be impressed.

“Yeah, it was sort of rough because I’m not that great at cooking.”

He stares for a moment as he sets the dishes down. I can tell he’s trying to see if I believe him.

I look directly from him to the top of the refrigerator, at a large take-out bag with a familiar Chinese restaurant’s name. I raise an eyebrow.

“That’s an old bag,” Jesse says, waving a hand but smirking.

“Yeah, okay. I just have a feeling this is going to taste just like it.”

“Only because I worked so hard to get the secret recipe.”

I dig into the dishes, serving myself, laughing at the trouble he went through. “You know, you didn’t have to dirty dishes on my account. I would’ve been fine with takeout. I’m not a food snob.”

“That’s a good thing, because I’m not much of a cook.”

“Oh, and I am,” I say, referring to the pasta debacle.

“What a pair, huh?”

I shrug. “Could be worse.”

“I’ll drink to that,” he says, holding up his bottle of beer. We clink bottles as we finish eating. To an outsider, I’m sure it looks ridiculous. My fancy dress and necklace, sitting at a table eating take-out Chinese food.

To me, though, it’s perfect. The man I’ve fallen for sitting beside me, Chinese food, and a comfort I haven’t had with anyone else.

As much of a mystery as Jesse Pearce was a few months ago, he’s become as familiar as my new self.

I like this new Avery. I like Jesse’s Avery. I like the Jesse and Avery we are together.

So when we finish eating and he gives me the look I’ve come to recognize, I lean forward, kissing him with a fervor I’ve reserved for this moment, telling him wordlessly that I’m all his.

As he leads me back to the bedroom and hastily unzips the dress he painstakingly picked out for me, I smile.

For a long time, I didn’t think I wanted to belong to any man. For a long time, I thought this part of myself was shut down.

But as Jesse’s hands travel down to the familiar hot-pink underwear I’m wearing, I feel myself let go of all of those ideas I had before.

I’ve come to realize it’s okay to be his, because Jesse doesn’t hold me back. He makes me who I want to be. He makes me the best version of myself.

Loving him might be a risk, and losing myself completely to him tonight might be my undoing. Letting him go, though, is not an option, not when he tosses me back on the bed, and I feel every part of my being succumb to the tattooed hunk moving perfectly on top of me.

And so, after a night of learning what adult sleepovers are actually all about and mastering the sex-hair look, I let go of my rule.

I’m all in. I’m all his.

Review:

I enjoyed The Bachelors so much I was sad to turn the last page...I know this is a standalone but please Mrs. Carter give me more of these characters.

I particularly liked the writing, the flow and I find refreshing to read something in the GB English once in a while.

Riske and Revenge by Natalie E. Wrye

Release Date: 10.17.2017

Synopsis:

Love is the strongest emotion in the world…next to hate.

I knew hate. Had known it since I was seventeen. For me, it was love turned on its head, a product of hurt and fear—twisted, tied up…and placed on the sculpted shoulders of Ethan Riske.

***

Dayton, Tennessee.

Home to the best cow-tipping in the world, the biggest hot dogs, and the lousiest sex.

Or so I'd heard...

They were right about the first two. Ethan Riske proved them wrong about the third and at seventeen, he and I spent a summer under the stars, squeezing our way out of trouble, sweating and panting among the haystacks.

Until he left.

Nine years later, when a huge publishing house tries to buy my small press, I storm into the office of the CEO to find him.

Same cocky grin. Different name.

And suddenly all I can think about is exacting revenge on Ethan Riske for breaking his contract...and my heart.

But there's someone who wants revenge even more than I do. As I begin to fall for the new Ethan, will the sins of the old one come back to haunt us?

Review:

I loved this story!

Natalie E. Wrye helped me survive to these latest few stressing days, she wrote a novel that doesn't even let you take a breath. The fast pace and the suspense will make you turning the pages frantically.

I did need a strong heroine and I've found Kat, I did need a man who was a "bastard" but at the right time he showed his true color and he became the Hero and I've found Riske.
When Ethan says that to conquer the business world is like courting a woman is just so lyrical and swooning and he made me so jealous...I'd like to meet a man like him if he ever exist in real life.

Excerpt:

Prologue

“I hope you taste as good as you smell.”

The sound drifted through the air. A slow, sensuous melody floated with it, and as both made their way through the room, the beat of the song and the quiet statement I just heard rattled the bourbon in my hand, making the ice cubes shake.

Or maybe I was the one shaking.

I couldn’t help it.

Griff was poking a hole in my ribs with his elbow, and as the lips that had just whispered in my ear withdrew, I could see the look on my “best man’s” face. He was essentially salivating, his tongue practically swinging as he took in the vision of the woman who was speaking in my ear… and laying a seductive path in my open lap.

She stood, her long legs stretching, her bare torso twisting as she rolled the shape of an “S” in the air with her body, swaying seductively to the music. She was toned… that was obvious. A tight package with tits too big to be real, the buxom blonde in front of me was the object of every man’s wet-dream, star of every cock-swinger’s fantasy…

Except mine.

But she was doing her best. Clad in a piece of cloth that barely covered her clearly cleanly-waxed pussy, she ground her pretty ass two inches from my face while every other man in the room fought the urge to put their fingers all over her. My best friend, included. He nudged my side for the ninetieth time.

“Fuck me, man,” he slurred. “If she was doing that to me, I’d be two seconds from putting my finger in her ass.” He smirked widely and wildly.

“Good thing you aren’t me,” I shot back quietly, leaning over to look into his face. “That’d be a felony, you crazy ass.” I finally smiled. “And the last time I checked you didn’t fuck strippers because ‘and I quote…  ‘Who knows how many other items have been in those goddamned holes?'"

I threw Griff’s own words back at him with a silent grin.

“Doesn’t matter,” he declared, staring at the stripper in front of me for the thousandth time. “For her?” He swallowed another mouthful of scotch. “I’d make an exception.”

I glared at the beautiful blonde again. Because Griff was right. The exotic dancer… She might have been one of the best looking I’d ever seen. Maybe the best. She was tall, long-legged. Gorgeous… in the porn star sense, of course, with a wide, luscious mouth made for licking and sucking in only the most erotic of ways.

She licked her lips at me as if she wanted to make good on the promise she’d just whispered, and I had no doubt when she looked at me, her brown doe-like eyes wide, that—if she could, she would devour me until nothing was left. Until she drained every drop.

Unfortunately, for her, I wasn’t interested.

She tried to drag me to my feet, her tiny fingers wrapping around my own, pulling as she walked backwards in the direction of the edge of the room. The overhead maroon lights illuminating the space in our black-curtain closed boudoir made her look as naughty as every word dripping from her blood-red mouth, and Bambi the Bimbo was putting on her best pout to entice me into joining her towards whatever dirty fun lay in the dark room beyond this one.

All of the men—friend and foe—whooped as I slowly dragged myself to my feet, stumbling and fumbling over the discarded decorations that littered the floor. Streamers and “Congratulations” ribbons ran the length of the room, taking up space between the cloth-covered tables, and I staggered past them, barely holding onto my Bourbon as I followed stolidly behind the too-excited dancer who nearly bounced on her platform-covered toes.

With the push of another curtain, we fell into another room, and I let my body flounce on the dark-colored couches beyond it, slumping into the padded cushions. I took a healthy swig of my drink and sank my fingers into the seat beneath, wondering how many stains these comfortable sofas had really seen.

The drunker I got, the more it didn’t matter. Ignorance truly was bliss.

And so was the sensation making its way down my crotch—a gentle rubbing that circled the length of my cock through the fabric of my suit pants. From the tip to the very base. I groaned, closing my eyes as I saw a vision in my mind. A vision too good to be true.

A vision almost ten years old.

Waves of dark hair fell to a waist too tiny to be anything but touched. Shiny and soft, the beautiful brown mane swept across my chest, against my shirt, as two eyes, a crystal-clear blue, peeked from beneath the strands, as round and as large as saucers. In my mind, they met mine, saying things that couldn’t be vocalized, voicing words that need not be said.

They seduced in the most innocent of ways, waylaying me, pulling at a possessiveness in me I didn’t know existed. The blue eyes smiled. The smile beneath them was even better—wicked, as it dipped to my abdomen and pressed there, making me ache, causing my cock to strain against the inconvenient zipper located there.

How many times had I imagined those lips doing exactly that? That tongue licking out beneath those straight white teeth to lap at my skin, the edge of her mouth nipping at the most sensitive parts of me? It was torture—letting her tease me, taking me to the brink and back again as she swept that sheet of auburn locks over my body as she bent to her knees. I sucked in a breath soaked in desire as I waited for her to place her mouth where it mattered most.

And then it stopped. The teasing. She stopped.

And before I knew it, she was pulling—no, ripping—at my pants. The top button popped, and suddenly my cock was between her hands, her lips. She sank her mouth around it with a sigh, sucking with delight. The sexiest slurp ever made to man escaped from between her teeth, and I nearly lost it, grinding my own teeth as I gripped the back of her head, my eyelids squeezing tight enough to ache.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck…” I muttered. Over and over and over again.

It was fucking amazing. Something so simple—someone so simple, sweet and secretly naughty could bring a stubborn fucker like me—CEO and all—to his Giorgio Armani-covered knees.

I came… with my cock in her mouth and her name on my mind. I leaned back even further, letting my head fall into the cushions.

“Fuck, Kat…” I mumbled, feeling way too fucked up to move, the liquor coursing through my veins as I came down from my high, my fingers reaching out to touch her once more.

But she backed away.

“Kat?” she said, rising to her feet. “Who the fuck is Kat?”

I opened my eyes, staring at the figure fumbling around in front of me. It was the blonde vixen—the stripper. Standing on shaky legs, she wobbled between my legs, locking me with a stare, her eyes hard and unblinking. She placed her hands on her tiny hips.

“Who the hell is Kat?”

As if she was outraged. As if she had any right to question whatever the fuck I was doing anyway. I ignored her with a shrug, stowing my dick back in my pants with a loud zip! I finished my drink and sat it down.

“Ohhhh… I get it,” the blonde blower hissed. “She must be your fiancé. Well… I guarantee you that she’s never made you come like that. That was epic, baby,” she sighed, trying to straddle me. Her pussy was peeking completely out of her barely-there panties this time, and she tried to rub it across me, sliding her pink slit across the front of my pants with a slow grind.

I almost pushed her off. I stood.

“There is no fiancee,” I rumbled.

“But I thought…”

“My friends,” I interrupted, “thought it’d be funny to celebrate my new position. They said it was fitting… seeing as how I’m now married to my job. This isn’t a real bachelor party. And that wasn’t a real blow-job…”

She raised an eyebrow. “Certainly felt real to me.”

I pulled out my wallet, taking out a couple hundred dollar bills and putting them in the palm of her hand. I folded her fingers around them, looking into her eyes.

“Can’t be real… Not when you’re thinking about someone else the entire time.”

I turned just as the fair-haired, breathing blow-up doll gaped. I pulled the black curtain aside, exiting, attempting to avoid the curious gaze of every onlooking employee that came to the party to usher me into my new executive role.

My smile was weak, as I tried to shake off what just happened to me in the other room… and who I was imagining it happening with. Somehow, it was the brunette in my head, and not the blonde on my lap, that felt as if she were still on my skin.

I was in so much fucking trouble.
