Something So Perfect by Natasha Madison

Release Date: 07.31.2017

Synopsis:

Matthew

Drafted first round pick when I was seventeen, playing first line at eighteen, branded NHL's bad boy at nineteen. At twenty-three I was cut from the team and living back home with my parents. A knock on the door brought an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. All I had to do was prove I learned from my mistakes, so no way would I fall for a chick with a pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend all day devouring it.

Karrie

When my father gave me a job, I had no idea it would be to babysit some washed up NHL player. He wanted me to be his chaperone, his overpaid babysitter. I thought it was a joke. Then I met him, Matthew Grant. I wasn’t prepared for this particular bad boy. He’s not only hot but he’s arrogant and kinda sweet in a 'you make me crazy' kind of way.
Basically now that he’s finished screwing up his life, he’s decided to turn mine upside down.

She’s the first thing I’ve ever wanted more than hockey.

He’s the guy I know I should stay away from.

But what if this thing that started out so wrong turns into something so perfect?

Review:

Something So Perfect was a nice, funny and hot read.

I've read every story written by Natasha Madison since her debut and I've liked every single one of them and this is no exception.
I've enjoyed it and I've "oohed" and "aahed" everytime an old Madison's character makes an appearance.

Matthew is at times too intense and extreme in his actions but he is a good guy at heart,he is only scared to lose the people he cares for. Karrie is so feisty and I liked how she tries to stand up to our hero, starting some epic banters and sexy scenes.

I loved the epilogue and can't wait to read the next installment in this series.

Excerpt:

“Okay,” Robert starts, “we have your contract here. It’s a one-year contract for two point one million, as per your agent.” He smiles at me because I don’t have an agent. I have Cooper. “We also have the stipulation clause. I know last time you weren’t happy with some of them, but it’s the only way we can both win.” He opens the folder in front of him. “You will be living in a brownstone in Brooklyn.” The page flips over while he continues to read. “Your chaperone will live with you.” He looks up, waiting to see if I’ll say something, and I almost say fuck off. “It’s a three-story brownstone. You each have your own floor to do as you please.”

I nod at him. It isn’t as bad as I thought and maybe me and my roommate will be each other’s wing man. “Your chaperone will be at your side each time you go out. Especially, game day and traveling. Of course you will each have your own room when traveling, but it will be connecting.”

“I hope this guy is up for Netflix and working out.” I smile at them, my hand itchy to sign the papers before I call it all off.

Doug gets up, going to the phone on the table, pressing a couple of buttons. “Can you come to the conference room, please?” He hangs up right after.

“If you mess up even once, your contract is null and void,” Doug says, sitting down just as the door opens and I turn my head to stare at the person who just walked in.

“You?” I stand up, looking back at the other people at the table. The chick from the gym walks in, this time wearing black tight pants and a white button-down shirt, rolled up at the wrists. “Is this a joke?”

“I can assure you I had the same reaction when I was asked,” she says sternly. “I don’t want this any more than you do, but it is what it is.”

“She tried to pick me up yesterday.” I put my hands on my hips, telling the table.

“Are you insane?” she huffs out, her voice rising. “You and your anatomy landed on me.” She looks at Doug. “Right in my back.”

I roll my eyes at her.

“Karrie,” Doug says, looking at her.

“What?” She shrugs at him. “He couldn’t even contain himself, and he thinks I tried to pick him up.” She looks at me. “You wish.”

I pfft out. “Please, one word and you would have come home with me.” I look at the men in front of me. “You guys can’t be serious.” I then look back at Karrie. “Besides, how old is she? Twelve?”

“Pervert. I would have pulled the fire alarm and kicked you in the nuts.” She crosses her arms over her chest, making her tits strain against the buttons. “Either way you would have ended up in the same place. Alone. With bruised nuts.”

Robert slaps the table. “That’s enough, you two.” He looks at both of us. “Now, you two have a lot of catching up to do. I will forward you both the travel schedule.” He stands up, grabbing the papers, and slapping me on the shoulder. “Good to have you.”

Coach Dan gets up also, smirking at me while I stand here speechless that they allow a girl to chaperone me. Not just any girl, the hottest fucking girl I’ve ever set eyes on. I had to take care of myself three times since I stumbled on her.

“You two try not to kill each other.” Dan looks at Karrie. “Be good, sweetheart.” And he kisses her cheek.

“Really?” I throw my hands in the air. “Does no one think this is a ridiculous idea?” I look around the room and the only one left is Doug, who gets up.

“I think it’s the best thing to ever happen to you.” He walks over to squeeze my shoulder. “But if you make my little girl cry”—he leans in, whispering—“they won’t find your body.”

My mouth opens and closes, and then opens again, not a sound coming out.

Review:

Lila Monroe wrote a really enjoyable, hot and funny story.

Mr. Right-Now is easy to read, perfect for the summer time.

I liked the main characters.I've appreciated how Maggie and Drew after some bumps on the road of the success, the first in the bakery field and the second in the music industry, doesn't drown in sorrows but they both find a way to be happy again and to build a better future for themselves.

A Scottish Wedding by Hilaria Alexander

Release Date: 07.20.2017

Synopsis:

TYING THE KNOT!

Ladies, Hugh MacLeod is off the market! We caught up with the sexy hunk from Abarath and his fiancée, makeup artist Sam Farouk at an event in Edinburgh.
The pair met last year while working together on season one.
The Scottish actor looked handsome in a tailored dark grey suit, while the raven-haired beauty at his side turned heads in a golden lamé gown which channeled the iconic Marilyn Monroe dress of the same color. Ms. Farouk played coy when asked about the engagement, only revealing that the ring belonged to Hugh’s grandmother. With a dreamy look to her groom-to-be, Ms. Farouk confessed his proposal was “fairytale worthy." MacLeod charmingly deflected each one of our questions about season two of Abarath, saying he would get in trouble if he told us anything. When we asked if a date had been set yet, the engaged couple looked at each other for a brief second. Soon, they replied in unison in a way that turned us into mush. Ms. Farouk added that it will all depend on Hugh’s schedule and his commitment with the show.
We wish the very best to the groom and the bride-to-be and we hope to bring you more news about their upcoming nuptials!

Review:

I've really enjoyed to go back to Scotland for this long epilogue of Sam and Hugh story.

I don't want to spoil this story for you but if you have read Lost In Scotland you don't want to miss this lovely sequel.

Hilaria Alexander is a guarantee of a good nice romantic story!!

Getting a Grip by M.E. Carter

Release Date: 07.18.2017

Synopsis:

This isn’t my life. Okay, it is my life, but not the way I envisioned it would be.

I wasn’t supposed to be a divorced mother of three when I turned the big 4-0.  Sure, I expected the fine lines, gray hairs and left over baby belly.  What I didn’t expect was expanding our family get-togethers by one… my ex-husband’s new child bride.  Ok, ok, she’s not young.  Maybe.

Did I mention this is not the life I planned?

It could always be worse, I know. I’m lucky to have a mother who loves to babysit, a best friend who loves sarcasm, and a new friend by the name of Greg, who is apparently a child whisperer and tells me my eyes are pretty.

Sigh… Greg.

The perfect, Adonis-like God of a man who keeps flirting with me. At least I think he’s flirting with me. It’s been so long, I don’t really know.

Between birthday parties, a few ill-advised bouts with make-up, and a whole slew of gymnastics classes, it’s finally time to take back some control.

So, while my girls learn all about how to grip the bar, I’m going to learn how to get a grip on my life.  And maybe my heart.

Review:

This was a funny, entertaining, real and in a way also a unique story.

When I started this book I thought it was an easy to read rom com but just after a few chapter I understood it was so much more.
Getting a Grip was a story about self-discovery,acceptance of our flaws and the courage to start again even if the future is uncertain.

I've really appreciated how the author delivered this meaningful story with a light atmosphere and a bunch of great characters.

Elena is hands down one of my favorite heroines, she is so relatable, lovely with her three little girls,a very good friend, never acting weird for her age.

I was heartbroken at the end...I need to read the sequel as soon as possible.

Both men have so much to lose. But as far as their love is concerned, it's Hello Forever.

Review:

Hello Forever was an effortless read.

The author's words lured me in from the start and kept me enthralled until the end.
The synergy among all the characters made this story really good.
Sarina Bowen writes the most heartwarming male/male stories.

Axel and Cax were friends as kids but after an unfortunate event they fell out of touch until they met again years later working at the same school. While the first one is not shy of his sexuality the second one still lives dreading of being discovered.

I was so curious to find out if this time woud have been their last chance to finally get together and be happy that I've devoured the whole book in a day.

Review:

Until The Sun Sets is the third novella in The Graysons series, it was a new quick and enjoyable read for me.

Carlie is Dean's employee, they worked together for two years and became friends at the same time, so when Dean has to fly to Mexico for his cousin's wedding and needs a partner to prove he isn't a playboy the best solution is to ask her to go with him.

I loved to read Carlie and Dean journey and the developping of their relationship, even if this was a short novella I closed this book feeling pleased.

Train Wreck by T. Gephart

Release Date: 07.10.2017

Synopsis:

“No passion, no emotion, no originality—a train wreck of epic portions.”

Those were the words to describe Eve Thorton’s exhibition. Not even a fine arts degree from Yale or her daddy’s bank account could save her from the scathing reviews. And failure was a word Eve would never be comfortable with. Not even close.

Plotting the demise of every critic who’d written her off was her first instinct. But that would come later. Instead, she would show them that she wasn’t a bored socialite with more money than talent.

She would prove everyone wrong, and she wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. But when her journey for redemption crashed headfirst into Josh Logan, the sexy, talented tattooist from Queens, getting her hands dirty took on a whole new meaning.

Josh was everything Eve wasn’t, translating on skin what she couldn’t onto her canvas. All she had to do was convince him to share his jaw-dropping brilliance, and help her—seeing him naked—a bonus. Then she could go back to her regular life, vindicated.

It should have been easy. Pity her plans had a habit of derailing.

Review:

Train Wreck was a beautiful story...I had a great time reading on a sunny summer Sunday.

I istantly loved our heroine with her craziness and her attitude stole my heart from the first page.I found myself rooting for her artistic and personal achievement.
I enjoyed to follow Eve in this journey,to see her growing strong after a few failures and bad events and to never stop fighting for her happiness.

This was my first T. Gephart read and I liked the cover, the writing, the plot, the flow and the main and support charactres that will have you laughing and swooning throughout the book.

Review:

Fallin For You was a nice, entertaining read.

Mari Suggs delivered a good and believable story, thanks to her evocative words it seems to see clearly the places and the characters.
I was so invested into this story that I wasn't ready to leave all the characters, I wanted to know more about their lives.

I've enjoyed to follow Rachel and Luke into their journey,to see their very different worlds to collide under the sun on a beautiful island.
